J.D. Miner News: April 2010

The southern ‘Miner’ establishment has some good news. Multi instrumentalist and fiddler extraordinaire Chad Joiner of MEI marching band fame has teamed up with stalwart miners Johan and Darryl.

Change happens, but the music remains the same; an eclectic collection of original jazzy tunes, ballads about real people to make you laugh and cry, and a liberal dose of Old Time banjo and fiddle tunes. You ain't ever heard a fiddle, a dog house bass and a banjo sound quite like this. Pound for pound the best entertainment you'll ever get for free.

J.D. Miner is one of several fine musicians now featured on efolk Music www.efolkmusic.org This a non-profit web based organization dedicated to promoting fabulous folk music. There are a lot of musicians on the site though to use their words, it is a filtered site including only what they consider to be the good stuff! Have to admit, its pretty exciting for us to be on a list with musicians we admire such as Mark Knopfler, Pete Seger and Merle Haggard, to name a few.
